THE USUAL SUSPECTS CONDEMN PALIN FOR HER TEA PARTY ADDRESS REVEALING WEAKNESS IN THEIR OWN CAMP

When Sarah Palin looked to her palm to review notes, of course her detractors jumped all over it. But once again, attacking Palin results in marginalizing the attackers.  Andrea Mitchell called Palin a hypocrite for her reference to “a charismatic guy with a teleprompter”, while she was using notes herself.  But along with the Obama supporters, some who have been identified with the conservative revival are now also objecting to Palin’s role in the movement, suggesting that she is compromising her values by accepting six figures for speaking and doing business with “The Progressives”.  But her choices actually show true committment to the cause.

Andrea Mitchell’s attempt to ridicule Palin makes  Mitchell look more unintelligent than we previously thought possible.  Can she not tell the difference between using notes to stay organized, and  reading every word from a screen?  And Palin was speaking TO the people. Obama speaks  away from the people in choppy, monotone , and impersonal dogma.  She explains “we will work together when we can, and we are the loyal opposition anchored in time tested truths …….. that provide the roadmap to prosperity ……… that the government that governs the least governs best”.

This is an excellent account of the Tea Party mission.  When has Mitchell made such an effective representation of her camp’s principles?  Do they even have principles, other than hating us?

Delaware Senator Ted Kaufman said of those who identify with Palin “there are folks out there who are upset, most of them are not following what’s going on.”  From that statement, it is obvious that he is the one who does not know what has been going on.  The people are tired of elected officials insulting them, and pretending that they know something that we don’t.  The Great Awakening has seen the greatest surge of politically educated public activists in recent history.  The “folks out there” have debunked Team Obama’s GDP figures, jobs statistics, educational mandates, and every argument on the virtues of their health care  reform!

And they have also created a Constitutional Renaissance, while also re-introducing the Founding Fathers to a modern political debate.

Not bad for a bunch of ya whos that do not know what is going on.

WE WANT REPUBLICANS TO BE THE PARTY OF NO!   WE  ARE ALSO THE PARTY  OF KNOW, AND PALIN EXPLAINED WHY!

Their are also some conservatives who are upset about the price of the tickets at the convention, and they have a problem with the amount of money Palin  was being paid.  First, she donated that money back to her PAC’s so she can maintain her momentum.   And some may not like a few of the people she is endorsing, but she may be acrewing political capital for her and others.  Also, those who do not agree with Perry and McCain, ( us included) have the option of  promoting their oppostion in the primaries.   But this does not mean that Palin is “selling out”.  She is just make a choice that you maybe would not have.  Her core principles have been stated clearly.

And as far as the ticket prices, 97.1 host Dana Loesch explained:

“Talked to a few tea partiers who arrived to protest & hold a presser where they criticized the convention. “The ticket cost is too high” said one. “Oh, so should we have a committee to regulate the prices & make them fair for all?” I asked. “Yes” was the response. “So, you advocate one thing for the fed & quite another… for the tea party?” The beauty of conservatism & individuality is that all can DO THEIR OWN THING.”

We have seen this in our experiences in the musical counterculture.  Preoccupation with form and statements can lead you to undoing the core of your message and mission.  This is not an anti-money movement.  This is a fight to retain the right to succeed and fail according to your own merits and efforts.  If  someone can command the type of  attention that Palin has, then they deserve to make whatever they are worth.

If  they  stop representing the people, and begin to show that it is all about them, then the people will withdraw their support on their own. We don’t need rules to “make things more fair”.  If you can’t afford the tickets, then their are other great things you can do to participate in these Tea Party weekends.

And this is a lesson that Mr. Progressive Moral Killer may learn in the future.

I attended and was one of the speakers, and I told many of the reporters that I am a capitalist … and make no apologies for capitalism. There is a hungur for liberty and if Judson and Sherry make a profit from that conference, then the more power to them!

As a University Professor, I write note on my books, my outline, my hand … I can’t fault Palin for doing the same.
